Life Care Center of Crossville, Tennessee, recently revamped its restorative team with additional online training on restorative activities.
Restorative nurses help residents and patients prevent decline in function, often after the resident has completed a therapy program. They help with walking, range of motion, getting in and out of bed, incontinence training, flexibility and maintaining or improving quality of life.
Zach Hillabrand, licensed practical nurse, leads the team, which also includes certified nursing assistants Verlane Bruce, Cindy Thompson and Keri Shott.
“Our restorative team is helping to keep our residents active and living at their highest quality of life,” said Janna Cope, director of nursing.
