In September 2019, associates and residents held a surprise party for Peggy Owens to celebrate her 30-year anniversary at Life Care Center of Crossville.
At the party, Owens, who works in housekeeping, was presented with flowers, cake and $100, and everyone was excited at the opportunity to celebrate her achievement together.
Associates expressed their love and appreciation of Owens.
“Peggy goes above and beyond to do her best to help all her coworkers,” said Jennifer Westfelt, practical nurse. “She is a very compassionate and caring individual.”
Residents at the facility appreciate Owens as well.
“She makes me laugh,” said Vicky Upchurch. “She always takes the time to talk to me while getting her job done.”
After 30 years at the facility, Owens still works with passion and enjoys building relationships with the people around her. In fact, the personal care she has for residents is what fuels her to do an excellent job.
“It brings me happiness when I am greeted by my residents,” said Owens.
Owens’ dedication to excellence is a constant source of inspiration at Life Care Center of Crossville. Miranda Hajny, activities director, summed it up well.
“Peggy works hard, always has a smile on her face and is the kindest person you will ever meet,” said Hajny. “We are blessed to have her on our team.”
